BELVEA Mositurizing Skin Cream Formula is specially formulated for dry & sensitive skin conditions. It provides rich moisture to the skin without compromising the mild characteristics of a good skin cream. It is hypo-allergenic, fragrance-free, parabens-free, propylene glycol-free and it is made with plant based glycerin. It contains allantoin and aloe barbadensis leaf extract which increases smoothness of the skin and aids in the skin’s healing process.
BELVEA Moisturizing Skin Cream Formula is mild yet moisturizing. It is suitable for infants, children, adults, seniors with dry & fragile skin. It is ideal as an adjuctive moisturizer for patients on steroid creams therapies, where moisturizing creams are used in between steroid cream applications.
Dry skin conditions could be triggered by many factors. Typically, such skin conditions are characterized by flakiness, dryness, pruritus and visible cracking on the epidermis layer of the skin. Dryness of the skin can be associated with disease conditions such as dermatitis, eczema, contact dermatitis, senile pruritus, hives, fungal infections etc. It could also be due to sensitivity of the skin from exposure to simple environmental irritants such as dusty environment, cold/dry environment, exposure to certain chemical particles etc.
There are many possible causes of skin irritation. An easy way to find out the allergens responsible for a patient’s skin irritation, would be to undergo a skin patch test (typically done by your dermatologist). Such tests may reveal some of the allergen triggers for the patient’s skin irritation, however, it may not be exhaustive, as there may be more than a few trigger factors. For the simpler and less serious causes of irritation, at times, the patient could identify the cause by deliberately avoiding contact to certain suspected irritants and observe your skin’s response.
Eczema / dermatitis tends to be a long term incurable disease. Most patients with such skin diseases will likely be prescribed steroid creams, antibiotics and a moisturizer. Because the excessive steroid creams usage thins the skin over time, it is therefore, NOT recommended for long term liberal use. In between steroid cream applications, the patient could use a good moisturizer to help alleviate the skin dryness which helps in itch relieve.
